Bilal Malik is Director of Vascular Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY. He is an interventional cardiologist of international repute, who performs coronary, valvular and peripheral interventions with special focus on complex coronary interventions. After graduating from Government Medical college Srinagar, he did residency in Internal Medicine followed by cardiology fellowship at Nassau University Medical Center, SUNY StonyBrook, New York. He did his interventional cardiology training at Maimonides Medical Center. He is credited with performing the first angioplasty and starting the international cardiology program in South American nation of Guyana.
